National Senior Games... Friday

On Friday Adolph's first event was the pole vault.  This is probably his favorite event and he has been training really hard to try and break the world record for his age division.  While competing in this event he ended up hurting his achilles tendon.  He was unable to break the world record at this time but he did end up placing first in his age group and received another Gold medal.

After the pole vault Adolph competed in the javelin.  Pictures will be posted soon!

National Senior Games... Thursday

On Thursday, Adolph's first event was the high jump.  He finished this event in 6th place.

After the high jump Adolph joined a team to run in the 4 by 100 relay.  He did a great job running his part of the relay.  His team finished with a Gold medal.

While waiting on the awards we took this opportunity to take another Team Hoffman picture.  We are all so proud of Adolph.

The last event of the day was the discus.  This is event was a lot of fun to watch.  Adolph was in 3rd place and then he fell into 4th place.  On his last throw he passed the 3rd place man and took it back over.  He did such an amazing job and we were all so proud of him.

National Senior Games... Wednesday

On Wednesday morning Adolph was supposed to do the long jump at 7:00 in the morning.  We got there around 6:00 and it was raining and storming.  Adolph was able to do his first jump but then all the events were called off because of the storms.  Everyone was sent under the bleachers to wait out the storm.  We kept thinking they would be able to start back up but every time another strike of lightening would occur.  Finally, around 10:30 Adolph was finally about to finish the long jump.  As you can tell by the photos of everyone holding umbrellas it was still raining but not lightening thank goodness!!!  Adolph ended up finishing fourth in his age group for the long jump.

Adolph's second event for the day was the shot put.  Luckily, it was later in the day so he had time to relax a little bit after fighting the rain earlier that day.  He ended up getting fourth place in this event.
